Is the fashion world art? Is interesting? Is empty? Is superfical? These perhaps are questions of those who don’t live every day in this exciting world. Maybe and only maybe, this is why they don’t realize what FASHION really is.
Is not only about mixing and combining to create the perfect outfit or designing trendsetting garments and accessories. Fashion goes beyond this as art, it’s history.
We can’t speak about fashion without remembering the 18th century or the 20’s, 50’s, 70’s, or 80’s. These were all times of evolution, luxury and creativity.
Creativity left a distinct mark and the rise of trendsetting started thanks to influential people who devoted their work and time for this beautiful art. Great figures such as the Queen of France, Maria Antoinette, Audrey Hepburn, Paul Poriet, Coco Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld , Christian Louboutin, Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, Anna dello Russo and Anna Wintour.
Image, beauty, photography, journalism, illustration, and design are the foundations that create FASHION.
Fashion is not only expressed through beautiful photographs, illustrations or exquisite collections. By definition, art is defined as any activity or product made by human. It is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance. If we rely on this one would say, that fashion is indeed an art.
Every human being expresses fashion in the most beautiful and unique way, the personality. Fashion is an art that everyone endorses, transforms, and lives for. Born from different ways, from different passions, fashion allows one to create a different, original, unique and personal style.
But for a Fashionista, fashion is not just an art, it’s their first love, their passion, their obsession. Some would say it is embedded within them, a molecule of their DNA. From the runway to your closet, from your closet to your body; From the magazines to your eyes, from your eyes to your mind and from your mind to your heart, brings the most exciting passion. Once you live it, love it, touch it, and fight for it, it becomes apart of you.
Exquisiteness that only a few can understand, enjoy, transform and incorpórate in their every day lives is the embodiment of FASHION.
An art that transformend and gave sense to my days, an art that brought a continual delirium to my life by allowing me to observe, analyze and discover the smallness of details, the most intricate patterns, is an art called FASHION.
