We all know that Instagram is a powerful social media and through it a lot of bloggers get the opportunity to collaborate with fashion and beauty brands.

I have to confess… This is my 3rd blog and @ale.harnish my second Instagram. I started @ale.harnish doing the same mistake I did on my first IG and I noticed that my IG wasn’t working.

Let’s face it, outfit pictures on the street, food pictures and detail pictures of the date are not for everyone, not for me!

Todos sabemos que Instagram es una red social muy poderosa. Habrás notado que por medio de IG muchas bloggeras tienen la oportunidad de realizar colaboraciones con marcas de belleza y moda.

 

Debo confesar que esté es mi tercer blog y @ale.harnish mi segundo Instagram. Cuando comencé a trabajar en @ale.harnish caí en el mismo error de mi primer Instagram. Pronto note que mis seguidores no estaban creciendo, mi Instagram simplemente no estaba funcionando.

Las fotos del look del día en la calle, fotos de detalles y fotos de comida no son para todo el mundo y definitivamente no son para mi.

I read a lot of blogger tips about Instagram. How they take their pictures? Who take their picture? And I discover that some use there phone, some use a professional camera, some have a photographer and some others just have their friends taking her picture. But something that they all have in common is that they been blogging for years and they have more than 100K followers believe me, at that point professional camera or phone pictures are the same. They already worked hard to be there, on the top.

If you wanna be successful, research a lot. I started on my favorite bloggers Instagram and I discover that their pictures have the same lighting or filter, they kinda have an order and definitely is not a casual picture of the day. They prepare the photos with time ahead, and this my beautiful readers is the key. Planning!!!

Leí muchos tips sobre Instagram, como bloggeras toman las fotos? Quien les toma las fotos? Y esto me llevo a descubrir que algunas solo usan el celular, otras cámara, algunas tienen fotógrafo y otras le piden el favor a las amigas. Algo que la gran mayoría tienen en común es que llevan años en la industria y tienen más de 100k seguidores, créanme chicas a este punto foto con el celular o con cámara no hace la diferencia. Ellas ya han trabajado duro para estar en el lugar que están.

 

Si quieres tener éxito con tu Instagram investiga. Yo comencé en los Instagram de mis bloggeras favoritas y descubrí que las fotos tenían la misma luz o filtro y que mas o menos llevan una secuencia. Es muy raro ver selfie y selfie seguido, definitivamente no son fotos casuales del mismo día. Ellas preparan las fotos con tiempo y esta es la clave #1 preparación.

You probably are gonna say we are all different, everyone have a unique style. I said it! But what actually makes me different is my eye for fashion. I went to school for fashion design in Bogotá, Colombia, I also have specialization in Fashion Styling and Fashion event planning from a school in Barcelona, Spain. What are the kinda of pictures that attract me the most when I open a magazine?

I love studio Fashion editorials, all the attention is on the subject.

After answering my own questions I decided to switch my Instagram and just focusing myself in fashion editorial photos. I also give to my Instagram an order just because looks nicer and helps me at the time of posting. Second tip, be organize. The best way to organize your IG and check before posting how your new photo is gonna look next to the others is using a planning app, I use UNUM.

Me realice varias preguntas por que realmente no quiero caer en el mismo error.

Como puedo ser diferente?

Probablemente vas a decirme que todos somos diferentes porque cada quien tiene su estilo, yo lo dije! Pero la verdad lo que me hace diferente va más allá, es mi ojo por la moda. Estudié diseño de modas en mi país, y luego fue a Barcelona, España a estudiar Estilismo en moda y organización de eventos. Tengo claro que la moda es mi pasión.

Mi respuesta me llevo a la segunda pregunta, Como puedo usar mis estudios en mi Instagram? Creando mini editoriales de moda.

Que tipo de editoriales de moda me atraen más ? Siempre me han encantado las fotos en estudio, porque le dan prioridad a las prendas no existe nada que distraiga el ojo.

Después de responder mis propias preguntas llegue a la conclusion que iba a cambiar el concepto de mi IG y a concentrarme en crear fotografías de belleza y moda con un enfoque editorial. También decidí que le iba a dar un orden a mi Instagram, porque atrae mas a el ojo y segundo ha sido de gran ayuda a la hora de hacer el post del día. Este es chicas el segundo tip, ten un orden. La mejor manera de organizar tus fotos y ver como la nueva fotografía se va a ver con el resto es por medio de aplicaciones. Yo uso UNUM.

My third tip for you girls is to post every day, even on a Sunday. This is why you have to take a lot of pictures in one day and I’m not saying of the same outfit different locations is more like, details of the outfit. Makeup, accessories, a top close up of the look and a full outfit picture and BOOM! You will have 4 different photos of one outfit.

Please try not to post 2 or 3 pictures with the same outfit, is boring. The first picture is gonna be existing for your followers and they are gonna comment, in the second picture of the same outfit, is gonna still for sure. But the third picture of the same outfit is just looks like you don’t have more content.

Mi tercer consejo es pública todos los días, hasta los domingos. Por esta razón necesitas tomar muchas fotos en un mismo día y no estoy diciendo del mismo look en diferentes locaciones; es más algo como detalles del mismo look, los accesorios, el maquillaje, una foto solo de la cintura hacia arriba y otra del look completo. De esta manera ya tienes 4 fotos totalmente diferentes.

Por favor traten de no publicar 2 y 3 fotos del mismo look, es aburrido. La primero foto del look sera emocionante para tus seguidores y muy seguramente comentaran, la segunda segura siendo una linda foto de seguro; pero la tercera dejara ver que no tienes contenido.
